The Hankook Company will present the interesting “i-Flex” concept, a combination of a wheel and a tyre at Frankfurt’s IAA this week.
This new type of non-pneumatic tyre is made of polyurethane synthetics and is all-in-one. The company says that this new invention is significantly lighter than the classical tyre-wheel combination and it doesn’t need any air at all. The fuel consumption and noise emissions are also reduced compared to the conventional solutions and driving safety is also increased.
This so called “i-Flex” concept will be seen as a part of Volkswagen up! exhibition at IAA and as the Hankook company claims it is 95 % recyclable.
