Insane V8 Powered and Nitrous-Fed Sand Drag Bikes Somewhere in Australia
When we talk about hot rodding, the excess is just amazing, but sometimes stupid and usually epic. Well, when someone has the finances to build something just because they can, not because it is a great idea. For example, a drag bike with massive paddle tires with a nitrous-fed V8 motor. And leave it all to the Aussies that will do everything possible about racing and cars, to appear with just such a thing.
The city of Bankstown in New South Wales, Australia, every year in April hosts the Bankstown Custom Motorcycle Show. One traditional part of the event is a display with creation that can be described like Top Fuel Motorcycles on sand – minus the wheelie bars, nitromethane, and most of the safety equipment.
The performance also looks to be lacking. You expect a bike that is powered by a V8 engine to have many of get-up-and-go, or maybe to make justifiable use of the paddle tires. But, instead of that, despite the power, the go-fast looks, and the nitrous, these motorcycle got their clocks cleaned by a member of ZZ Top on a street bike from the 1970’s.
We must say that none of these motorcycles are lightweight. We guess that each bike was built over a few cases of beer in the barn on someone, and because of that, lack any form of lightweight parts. Continue to page 2 (video)
